I’m Jenny, your Health and wellbeing specialist at Healthy Healing.

My journey started when I was about 8 years old, I grew up with terrible eczema and visited countless amounts of doctors and a nutritionist who suggested I cut dairy from my diet. My teenage years followed more problems; acne. But it wasn’t until I had my first daughter that I really experienced the impact food can have on our health.

We found out that my daughter was allergic to nuts, my other daughter had cysts on her ovaries and a few years later my eldest began having seizures. I followed doctor’s advice, but I also started teaching myself about how food can heal the body.

I realised that we could prescribe our bodies with the right foods every day and heal ourselves naturally. Since changing our diet to suit us as individuals, I can honestly say that it has made a complete difference. I no longer have eczema or acne, my daughter hasn’t had a seizure in two years, and we are all healthy and, most importantly, happy.

This is just the beginning when it comes to my experience changing people’s lifestyles for the better. My genuine interest and in-depth research has allowed me to not only help myself and my children but so many clients. I truly believe that food is the key to making lifelong changes, resulting in a much happier you!

I can create a bespoke dietary and lifestyle plan for you and your family, along with providing full support and guidance to give you the changes and results you’re after. I love putting in the time to learn all about you, what you want to achieve and how we can do that realistically through a thorough plan. Let’s start the journey to a healthier, happier you.

Hi I’m Carrie, the Hypnotherapist at Healthy Healing.

I really believe that looking after your body, diet and mental health are all essential in helping you to reach optimum happiness. I’m here to support you through these changes in behaviour, leading to a healthier and happier lifestyle that lasts.

I have a background in psychology and education, with over 10 years’ experience in training and coaching individuals to support their lifestyle changes. Most recently I have studied hypnotherapy alongside cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness, all of which I will draw upon to help you to access the best mental state for you to create lifestyle and behaviour changes.

I have the tools to design a bespoke treatment plan for you, combining two of the most powerful psychological therapies, hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. This evidence-based approach results in deeper, faster and more permanent change.

Together we will create a plan which will support you in overcoming personal obstacles, ultimately meeting your desired goals. I will coach you to access the most positive mindset, enabling you to realise the changes you dream of and helping reset the way you think in order to make transformational changes.

Hi I’m Carol, the therapist at Healthy Healing.

I truly believe that holistic care looking at the whole person incorporating not only their physical health, but also their emotional, psychological health, is the optimum way to a happier life, improved health and well-being.

All my treatments are bespoke, because every person is different therefore every treatment I provide will differ as it is tailored to meet your specific needs.

I have a background in MLD working at the Helen Rollason Cancer Support Centre in Hatfield Peverel for 20 years, providing a Lymphoedema service, which includes MLD, guidance on patient self-management techniques, measuring for compression hosiery, and compression bandaging. Along with working as a Senior Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University since 2002, originally teaching complementary medicine, more recently research skills to undergraduate students from various health based disciplines.

I also work in Private practice, providing individual treatments for people who self-refer, and those referred from surgeons, consultants, GP’s, and other health care providers.

My initial Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) training was part of my BSc (Hons) Complementary Medicine in 2001, additional training with Le Duc Medical Lymphatic Drainage training 2009, MSc Advanced Practice 2012, plus biennial MLD reviews. In addition I specialise in Therapeutic massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Bach Flower Remedies (Teacher) and ‘M’ Technique.

Over the years, I have carried out research in Reflexology for cancer patients looking at Quality of Life (QoL); a Systematic Review on research methodology for touch based therapies. I present education sessions for the Breast Cancer Care ‘Moving Forward’ scheme, and cancer support groups.

Hi I’m Lissel, the Massage Therapist at Healthy Healing.

My healthcare journey started 20 years ago. I developed a real interest in beauty therapy so I studied and obtained my level three beauty qualifications. I practiced all areas of beauty therapy and over the years enjoyed building a loyal base of clients.

During this time I discovered that effective and correctly focused massage brought a wide range of benefits to people, including helping to reduce pain, enabling people to move more freely whilst preventing further damage but most Importantly it made them feel good both physically and mentally so I knew that I wanted to take this interest further and study massage therapies to become qualified.

I took some time out to have my children and focus on giving them the best possible start in life. In 2004 I made the decision to return to college to study Swedish massage and Anatomy and physiology. This really enhanced my passion for massage therapy so I continued my studies to study sports massage. Over the years I have added to my skills with various qualifications in complimentary therapies.

My children are all self sufficient now and I’m very proud of them as any mother would be. I love to study new ways to improve my skills and techniques to give my clients the best possible experience, helping their body’s to repair in a natural way by using my skills to encourage healing and a greater sense of relaxation, helping to reduce the risk of injury with regular massage keeping their muscles supple and increasing athletic performance as well as simply allowing them to enjoy time for themselves. Managing and maintaining mental health has become even more important in recently and my treatments really support and compliment this area of personal care.

Hi I’m Dani, the new Personal Coach at Healthy Healing.

My health and wellness journey started over 20 years ago. My passion for running took me to join my local athletics club where I went on to understand the fundamentals of running and becoming a coach. I soon developed a love for helping people achieve their goals and gained great results from consistency.

I embarked on further studies in health, wellness and mindfulness gaining more confidence in my coaching abilities.

In December 2018 I lost my father, and my daughter was Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, this was a very hard year for me. My skills in mindfulness and wellness really came into play. I turned to yoga at this time to settle my mind and find calm in the days I was facing.

In December 2020 I passed my 200 hour yoga exams and became a yoga teacher and breath work coach. This lead me on my personal training and diabetes management and awareness courses.

My passion for all things health and wellness lead me to Healthy Healing, being introduced to Jenny for more nutritional benefits. Here I am today working alongside the team developing my knowledge as I go. Healthy healing is pushing me along to help other people achieve their potential with personal training and health coaching.
